Meet Dean Szikinger

Dean Szikinger, Canadian immigration lawyer

Dean Szikinger is the founder of Szikinger Immigration Law. Since obtaining his Juris Doctor degree in 2012, Dean has focused his practice on Canadian immigration and citizenship law. Over the course of his career, he has assisted individuals, families, employers, and businesses with a wide range of immigration matters, from temporary visas and permanent residence applications to complex litigation before the Federal Court of Canada.

“My goal is simple: to provide clear advice, practical solutions, and strong advocacy when my clients need it most.”

Immigration Is Personal

Dean understands the immigration process from both a professional and personal perspective. After immigrating to Canada from Hungary as a child, he witnessed firsthand the opportunities that Canada can offer newcomers and the challenges that often accompany the process of building a new life in a new country.

These experiences helped inspire his decision to pursue a career in immigration law. Today, they continue to inform his commitment to helping individuals, families, employers, and businesses navigate Canada’s immigration system with confidence.

Dean recognizes that behind every immigration application is a unique story. Whether assisting a family seeking reunification, a skilled worker pursuing permanent residence, or an individual facing a complex immigration challenge, he remains focused on providing thoughtful legal advice, practical solutions, and strong advocacy.

More Than Applications

Many immigration matters involve more than completing forms.

Applications may be refused. Processing may become unreasonably delayed. Allegations of inadmissibility may arise. Families may face separation. Businesses may struggle to secure the workers they need.

These situations often require legal analysis, strategic planning, and strong advocacy.

Our firm approaches every case with a focus on identifying the most effective path forward while providing honest and practical advice about risks, options, and likely outcomes.

Federal Court Advocacy

Few immigration matters are more important than challenging an unreasonable decision.

Our firm regularly assists clients with judicial reviews and other litigation matters before the Federal Court of Canada. This experience provides valuable insight into how immigration decisions are assessed, challenged, and defended.

Whether a client is facing a visa refusal, an application delay, or a complex immigration dispute, we are prepared to pursue all available legal remedies when necessary.
